New Zealand's data infrastructure landscape is poised for a substantial transformation as T4 Group, a co-location data centre specialist, announces the development of New Zealand's first-ever Tier 4 Data Centre in Invercargill, Southland.

The novel acquisition of land in Invercargill underscores T4 Group's steadfast dedication to innovation, sustainability, and promoting community prosperity. "The Data Centre will not only offer state-of-the-art co-location data solutions but also serve as a catalyst for economic growth and environmental stewardship in the Southland community," stated T4 Group CEO Dean Addie.

The anticipated Data Centre is viewed as a landmark moment for T4 Group and New Zealand's entire data infrastructure. The Centre is expected to serve as an international model for ecological responsibility in the industry, demonstrating innovative green practices.

Not only will the Southland Data Centre be a beacon of sustainability, using renewable energy sources and eco-friendly design to diminish its carbon footprint, but it will also be geared toward maximizing efficiency and performance. This strategic design indicates that the Centre will be adaptive to evolving technologies.

Besides the groundbreaking development in Invercargill, T4 Group also announced the availability of premium rack space at its Auckland Data Centre. With 500 spaces currently vacant, businesses are invited to capitalise on T4's pioneering infrastructure to promote growth and innovation. "We are thrilled to extend businesses access to our world-class facilities in Auckland,” Addie commented.

The venture is forecasted to generate significant employment opportunities in Southland during the construction phase and retain high-value jobs in the long run. The company's management team is eager to fast-track the development process, prioritising efficient execution over prolonged design and consent procedures.

The forthcoming Southland Data Centre, ushering in a wave of green data, embodies T4 Group's invitation to businesses to join them on a transformative journey towards a greener, more prosperous future.
